Golf Tip - Avoid the Chicken Wing at all Costs -
What is the Chicken Wing?
The Chicken Wing, also known as The Flying Right Elbow is when your right elbow comes away from your body during your down swing. Your right elbow tends to fly out and drag your right shoulder round with it.
Why is the Chicken Wing so destructive?
Once your right elbow flies out it twists your right hand over the top of the club and closes the face just before impact with the ball.
What is the effect of the Chicken Wing?
With your club face prematurely closed your ball flies left. If you're lucky this will only result in a slight pull shot. In the worst cases it results in a pull-hook which can be very, very destructive.
So the golf tip today is: when you make your golf Mind-Movies make sure that you have a strong visual of your right elbow well tucked in, that way you will avoid the Chicken Wing at all costs.
